My journey into serious gardening began on my apartment balcony in 2021, and my GreenStalk garden is where it all began. I still have that very first planter! It’s in a retired color they no longer make, chocolate brown.
It’s a true testament to how long-lasting and durable these planters are. Even though I’m no longer growing on an apartment balcony, I’ve continually found myself still wanting to grow in the GreenStalk. I think mostly because of the movability and ease of the planters themselves. I grow in a warm climate, zone 9 in South Central Texas, and we get some brutal hot weather for a majority of the year. As I’m typing this it’s 95°F in mid October. Being that the GreenStalk can be on a movable base with wheels, allows me to easily move up to 42 plants with ease! I can easily just push the GreenStalk over to a shady spot in the afternoon or even grow inside with their new ultimate mover base! Plus the watering system truly saves me hours from having to water individual plants!
The soil is mostly clay here in San Antonio, and the GreenStalk has truly allowed me to grow just about anything with a high-quality potting mix. I once even grew a loofah in that same first-ever GreenStalk I purchased.
I’m honestly just a true fan of these planters and the people themselves behind this small business. It’s a family-owned company, with some of the kindest people working behind the scenes!
As an upcycler, I thought it would be fun to turn some of the GreenStalk boxes into my own GreenStalk Halloween costume!
Yep, you heard me right 😅 Remember when you were a kid and wanted to dress up as your favorite thing? Well, I’m still a kid at heart, and my favorite thing is the GreenStalk! I even used the GreenStalk boxes to make this! They have the most beautiful designs on their packaging boxes and I wanted to display that! Shout out to Rachel, the Sr. Graphic Designer at GreenStalk! I love your work so much!! Living in a world of AI this and that, GreenStalk is truly a refreshing company that values the creativity that individual, real people have!
I’m so happy this idea I had in my head has now come to fruition! It turned out even better than I imagined. You can see the whole process I documented on YouTube here. Thank you GreenStalk, sending love from your biggest fan!
