If you’re following this blog you know I love to make my own things; especially gifts. However I’m aware that sometimes life happens and we don’t always have the time or resources to always make everything.  I made a quick little guide for eco friendly gifts which I have personally bought for my friends and family.

While I do have some affiliate links below for items, please know all these items aren’t sponsored of any kind. I have purchased every single item with my own money because I genuinely find the items useful and want to support small eco friendly businesses.

I put this together for my mom for Mother’s Day. She is the first sustainable OG who taught me everything I know.  If you follow me on Instagram you know my mom is referred to as ‘eco-mom’.  Be sure to check out my video of eco-mom over on Instagram too.

Inside I included the following:

First off Stasher bags. I can’t say enough about how I love these things! They replace those individual ziplock baggies. Last time my mom was here she was asking me a bunch of questions about my Stasher bags. So I got the hint mom, you wanted some! I got her the stand up mid in the hibiscus color, snack in the papaya color, sandwich in guava color and pocket in the clear color. I actually packaged each gift inside the Stasher bags for a fun presentation.  I also reused the Stasher brown packaging and sent them to her just like shown in this photo. Also when you order from Stasher I really love how they don’t add any packaging to your order. They are just shipped in this sturdy brown bag, which can be composted after.  If you are interested in ever supporting the work I do and you would like to order a Stasher Bag, you can do so through this link.

In the stand up size I added some chocolates. I found at my local grocery story and just loved the name JoJo’s because that’s my moms nickname! After I bought them I did a little research on the company and they are a small batch company with a mission to make snacks with healthy ingredients and promote awareness of breast cancer.

In the snack size I added a few of bluelands foaming hand soaps. I got my mom the whole blueland set up awhile back and she is a big fan of the hand soap (as am I!) They are made in compostable packaging and you just drop the tablet into water and it dissolves into foaming hand soap.

In the pocket size I added a real loofah. I am actually attempting to grow by own loofahs this year (another post to come on that in the future). But my local farmers market had some for sale that they grew last season so I picked one up. My mom is also into making her own soaps and I thought the loofah could be fun to add into her soaps.

In the sandwich size is a pack of sprouts. Last time my mom was visiting I told her I wanted to do sprouts and she mentioned to me how she used to do them all the time (of course she did, she is eco-mom!) So I thought that would be a fun reminder of our conversation during her last visit.

Thats it for the sustainable gifts! Be sure to check out my other gift guides for the Stars Wars lover, the roadtripper and the graduate.
